Thank you to the organizers of re:us for allowing me to join these events, I had a good time and I met a lot of amazing people, feeling so grateful right now. Seeing the sites, I got to reflect on a lot of things and I feel truly blessed for the opportunity to be apart of something special. I’m not going to post pics of the ruins because it’s not about that, it’s about rebuilding and you know Japan is all about that! This ship was especially intriguing though, 330 tons and 60 meters long, the ship washed up 800 meters into the Shishiori neighborhood. Some locals were telling me they might keep it here as a memorial, either way I support them and I can’t wait to come back and do it all again.

この度、このようなイベントに参加できたこと、そしてre:usの皆様にお会いできた事に感謝しております。主催者の方々に心から感謝しております。本当にありがとうございました。被災地を目の当たりにして、自分自身色々なことを考える時間となりました、このような特別な機会を頂けた事に感謝です。日本は復旧復興に向けて前進しているので被災地の写真はアップしません。ただ、岸から８００メートル、鹿折周辺まで流されたあの３３０トン、６０メートルある大船はまた特別心に刻まれるものでした。近所の方々の話だと、記念物としてそのままにしておくかもしれないというでした。今後も何かできることがあれば、ぜひ参加させて頂きたいです。ほんのわずかな力かもしれませんが、また必ず戻りたいと思っております。（Darin.S.Maki）
